The Keweenaw Chain Drive mountain bike race is back. And this year there’s a ride for us Average Joes and Janes!
GET ON A BIKE AND RIDE! will run concurrently with the Cross Country races on Saturday, June 15th. Join some of the best cyclists in the Midwest as we roll out, taking over Ingot Street!
Our event will be a gentle 7.5 mile “no drop” (pausing periodically to regroup) ride with Terry Kinzel and Sue Ellen Kingsley as lead and sweep. The ride will start at the back of the 15 and 28 mile racers, so you’ll have the best seat in the house to see a fast start by some great bikers! Expect the ride to take approximately 1 hour.
GET ON A BIKE AND RIDE! is all about getting outside and enjoying the physical fitness that comes with just riding a bike. Because of a generous donation to fund this event, registration is just $10 and a free Keweenaw Chain Drive T-shirt will be given to the first 30 registrations before May 28, 2019.
Join us and begin your ride to fitness!
